There was a last minute change since Middeleeuwse Wijsbegeerte is apparently not being offered in the 2009-2010 school year. It was replaced by Het handgeschreven boek (The hand written book), which will be covering medieval manuscripts. Also, the English version (Arthur King of Tales) was apparently not on offer, but the Dutch one was, and so.. I take Arthur koning van verhalen.

Alright, long enough..

That meme has been the lead entry of this journal for far too long.

Art update: I have been doing none. I'm sorry. I need to pick up a new sketchbook to haul around with me, and hope that I will ever get free time.

Life update: I'll be a Dutch citizen by the 7th of May, after 9am. Which is awesome. Otherwise, my life is full of classes.

This last week my HD crashed and burned (not literally on the burning, thank goodness) so I have a new, bigger, better HD and have switched over to Linux. Yes, I have been 'converted', so to speak. I've been enjoying it a lot.

Otherwise, yeah, not much to say. No one really reads these anyway, so that's okay.

Stolen meme from..

:iconlindowyn-stock:

1. How old will you be in five years?
28

2. Who did you spend at least two hours with today?
My boyfriend. I was a bit of a hermit today.

3. How tall are you?
I'm.. technically about 5'7,75"/172,085 centimeters.. but I like to round up to 5'8"/172,72 centimeters.

4. What do you look forward to most in the next six weeks?
Starting classes again! Oh, and the borrel next week with the Celts. :)

5. What's the last movie you saw?
Uhm, I can't recall.

6. Who was the last person you called?
My boyfriend.

7. Who was the last person to call you?
Uhm, my boyfriend again. What? Are you suggesting I need to get into contact with more people? I got a call from my FIL today too!

8. What was the last text message you received?
Well, shit, my boyfriend again. Before that it was google.

9. Who was the last person to leave you a voicemail?
No one leaves me voicemail.

10. Do you prefer to call or text? Email! But, otherwise.. text I suppose. It depends on the person and what it's about.

11. What were you doing at 12am last night?
Pretty much the same thing I'm doing now, browsing the 'net, lounging on the couch.

12. Are your parents married/divorced?
Married.

13. When did you last see your mom?
April of this year, when she and my father came to visit.

14. What color are your eyes?
That kind of depends. My boyfriend claims they're usually green, others have said blue, some have said gray. My (now expired) license said blue, I believe.

15. What time did you wake up today?
About 9:30 this morning. Amazingly early for me on a Saturday.

16. What are you wearing right now?
Boxer shorts and a very faded Woodstock '94 t-shirt.

17. Do you like Christmas songs?
I'm going with :iconlindowyn: here. Yes and no.

18. Where is your favorite place to be?
Gosh, that really depends. I mean, this country in general, because I really love it. The beach, because I love the salty air and the wind. Otherwise, who can argue with curled up on the couch in a nice comfy blanket on cold and miserable days?

19. Where is your least favorite place to be?
Anywhere I'm forced to be against my will.

20. Where would you go if you could go anywhere?
Well, British Isles are high on my list. Places of great historic significance (I'd love to see Italy and Greece and.. so many places..)

21. Where do you think you'll be in 10 years?
Well, hopefully I'll have finished my schooling by that point. I'd like to think in a life not too dissimilar from what I'm doing now.

22. Do you tan or burn?
BURN!

23. What did you fear was going to get you at night as a child?
Depends upon when as a child, but for a long time I had a mild fear of the basement. I was absolutely convinced that something would reach through the stairs and grab me. I still kind of have that with all open stairs.

24. What was the last thing that really made you laugh?
I think something I read on a blog today. Probably something from Sarah Haskins.

25. Do you have an e-crush on anyone on DA?

Huge. I can't remember the dimensions right now, but it has to be large enough for my 198 centimeter/6'6" tall boyfriend.

27. Do you have a laptop or desktop computer?
I have both, but my desktop (Simeon) is currently packed away. Metis is my main computer resource right now!

One per person.

34. What do you like about the summer?
My birthday. :P Summer vacation and not having to wear sweaters and jackets.

35. What do you like about spring?
That fresh smell to the air, if green had a scent, spring air would be filled with it.

37. What cities/towns have you lived in?
Wallkill, Enschede, and Gouda.

38. Do you prefer shoes, socks, or bare feet?
Around the house, I am very much a bare foot girl. If I'm forced to go outside (beyond our back garden), it's shoes of some sort.

40. What was the last thing you ate?
Pre-made lasagna.

41. What is your favorite restaurant?
Gosh, this is hard. There's that really fantastic little Greek place over in Waddinxveen. Or Los Ponchos, a Mexican spot in Enschede. Or there's the fantastic Italian spot (Peppone?) here in Gouda, as well as the Indian restaurant. There is no shortage of good food here.

I'm really liking the changes to dA! They are pretty much everything I wanted from this site. Wonderful. :)

Otherwise, there is still not much in the way of art from me. Language has become, recently, more of a focus. I don't think translations really fit in here. Otherwise, the only art I've been doing is playing my piano and singing. Nothing more tangible in the way of photographs or drawings. I'm sorry about that, and I may try to do something, but a lot of our stuff is still kind of packed away in the attic.

Oh! A notice to people in the US, on the east coast; Omnia, a truly awesome band for those into more folksy type music, is coming to the USA for FaerieCon 2008 on the 11th of October this year in Philadelphia, PA. Go check them out, they are really great live! (I'm seeing them again this year at Castlefest.)

Erm, yeah, anyway, the plugging is over. How is everyone?
